Life has an interesting way of showing you the truth behind what you have been avoiding. Each move I have made career wise and for personal reasons has made me stronger. There is a saying that goes ” if someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” I believe this saying also holds true when looking at ourselves. I have been searching for a long time about what makes me happy and what happiness means to me. It is not an easy question to answer by any means. However, throughout the course of my life I have always been drawn to helping others. I care so deeply about the effect of one’s actions have on another. Understanding where he or she is coming from. Helping to add comfort and ease of stress when I can. Helping others is what I am passionate about but I never felt like I could be successful or make a living helping others the way I wanted to. I am showing myself that this is not the case. This is something that I have to do. It is a calling. In my career I have felt the most valued and positive when I have been able to help someone else succeed and to be feel important.
This trait is harder to find in people. We are in a world where everyone can be self absorbed, myself included, and taking a step back to look at the effect we have on others through our actions – could be life changing. Being positive and uplifting. Being aware of how tone and attitude can make someone else feel. I have made a lot of mistakes with my tone and attitude in the past. I try to not make the same mistakes again because of the negative impact that my actions had on others.
How different life would be if we all had this outlook when speaking to each other?
I am hoping this blog will help those who read it to feel supported, cared about, loved, and cherished. Maybe even a bit more tenacious as well.
